Iron Man 2 (2010)

There was no doubt after the success of the first ‘Iron Man’ film that there was to be a sequel soon afterwards.
A year before the Marvel Cinematic Universe released ‘Thor’ and ‘Captain America’, they released ‘Iron Man 2’. With a soundtrack fronted by rockers AC/DC and introducing Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow, Marvel thought they’d have a winner on their hands.
Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr) is faced with a new threat and must make reluctant alliances including with Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson).
Sadly, ‘Iron Man 2’ turned out to be a failure although two good things came out from it; Black Widow…and the announcement of ‘Avengers: Assemble’ (the UK title).
I’m going to be an outsider here and say that I’m one of the very few people who actually liked ‘Iron Man 2’ and preferred it over the first ‘Iron Man’ film. Although for most of it, it would have to do with Scarlett’s performance as Black Widow rather than the story itself (although still better than ‘Iron Man 3’ and that trash TV show ‘Iron Heart’).
As for the soundtrack, sadly I’m not a fan of AC/DC so I wasn’t very interested in that side of the film.
For most of it, I thought ‘Iron Man 2’ was a decent sequel but it could’ve been better.
